How to edit a PDF by adding text

  1. Select your PDF file.
  2. Type the text you want to add.
  3. Choose the page number and the X/Y position (in points, 72 = 1 inch).
  4. Set the font size, click "Add Text" and download the edited file.

What you can add

This tool adds a new text layer over the page — useful for a name, a date, a reference number or a short note. It is ideal for annotating forms and adding a quick mark without a full editor.

Positioning your text

X is the distance from the left edge and Y is the distance from the bottom, both in points. Start with X=72 and Y=72 (one inch in from the corner) and adjust until the text sits where you want it.

Text colour and style

The added text uses a clean Helvetica font in black. For coloured or bold text, use a full editor — this tool keeps things simple and private by running entirely in your browser.

Frequently asked questions

This tool adds new text on top of the page. It does not modify existing text, which stays as it was.
