How to convert images to PDF

How the conversion works
Each image is embedded into the PDF at its natural pixel dimensions, so a 2000-pixel photo becomes a page of exactly that size. The pdf-lib library embeds JPG files directly and PNG files as lossless images, preserving the quality of the original. One image produces a one-page PDF; several images produce a multi-page document in the same order.
When to convert images to PDF
PDF is the standard for sharing documents that must look the same everywhere. Convert scanned pages into a single PDF to email, turn a receipt photo into a claim-ready document, or combine screenshots into a handout. Because PDF embeds the images rather than linking to them, the recipient sees exactly what you see, on any device.
Supported formats
The tool accepts JPG and PNG images. JPG files are embedded with their original compression, which keeps files small. PNG files are embedded losslessly, so transparent areas and crisp edges are preserved. If you have a different source format, such as WebP, convert it to PNG with our Image Converter first.
A note on very large images
PDF pages have a maximum size. If an image is extremely large — wider or taller than a poster-sized page — the tool scales it down proportionally so it still fits. For everyday photos and scans, the image is placed at full size with no scaling at all.
