How to use the image filter tool

- Click "Download PNG" to save the filtered image, or "Reset" to return to the original.
How each filter works
The tool loads your picture into a canvas and rewrites every pixel, one by one. Grayscale converts each pixel to a shade of grey by weighting the red, green and blue channels the way the human eye perceives brightness. Sepia replaces the colours with warm brown tones, the classic look of old photographs. Invert flips every colour to its opposite on the colour wheel, producing a photographic negative.

Grayscale for print and documents
Black-and-white printing costs less and reads well on any paper, which is why grayscale conversion is so common for forms, invoices and identification scans.
