How the estimate works
Revenue is calculated as pageviews × CTR × CPC. CTR is the share of pageviews that click an ad (typically 0.5–2%), and CPC is what an advertiser pays per click (varies hugely by niche — finance and health pay far more than general entertainment). RPM shows earnings per 1,000 pageviews and is the number publishers usually track.
Realistic ranges
General-content blogs often see $1–$5 RPM; finance, insurance and legal niches can reach $15–$40 RPM. These are estimates only — actual AdSense earnings depend on ad placement, audience geography and seasonality, and Google does not guarantee any figure.
