1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. They let a site remember your preferences between pages and visits, measure how the site is used, and — where you agree — support advertising. This page explains the cookies and similar technologies (such as browser local storage) used on sbltools.com.
2. The short version
Our tools run entirely in your browser — the text and files you type or upload are processed on your device and are never sent to our servers. The cookies we use fall into three groups: a strictly necessary preference, optional analytics, and optional advertising.
3. Cookies and storage we use
- Strictly necessary (preferences). We store your light/dark theme choice and your cookie consent choice in your browser's local storage. These do not identify you, are needed for the site to remember your settings, and cannot be switched off.
- Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand aggregate, anonymous usage — how many people visit, which tools they open, and roughly where they come from. This is only active after you accept.
- Advertising. Third-party vendors, including Google AdSense, may use cookies or identifiers to serve ads, limit how often you see the same ad, and measure ad performance. These are only active after you accept.
4. Third-party cookies
Some cookies are set by services we use rather than by us directly:
- Google Analytics — aggregate usage measurement. See Google's cookie information.
- Google AdSense and its partners — advertising delivery and measurement. See How Google uses information from sites that use its services.
5. Your choices
When you first visit, a banner asks you to Accept or Reject non-essential cookies. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, analytics and advertising cookies stay disabled until you accept.
You can change your mind at any time by clearing this site's storage in your browser and choosing again when the banner reappears. You can also control cookies in your browser settings — blocking cookies may affect how some sites behave.
6. Opting out of personalised advertising
You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at www.aboutads.info.
7. Managing cookies in your browser
Most browsers let you view, delete and block cookies from their settings or preferences menu. Deleting cookies will also clear your stored consent choice, so the banner will appear again on your next visit.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the latest revision.
